They often create a longer process (because it's faster to go through your state website yourself) and they give you the impression that a lawyer is literally looking at your situation (when they are not)

Doing it yourself leaves many people procrastinating because of confusion and questions... "You don't know what you don't know" and you just feel over your head trying to structure your business setup yourself, plus registering a business, DBAs, LLC details, and business numbers like EINs and state IDs...
Sadly, I've seen that everyone using these three options are still confused about their LLC.
Often people have no idea what they still need to do after paying for only a part of LLC formation, let alone what they need to do to maintain the LLC going forward, both on a regular basis and yearly. Sometimes they incorrectly think their lawyer or software is doing these things for them, when they aren't.
The biggest issue is that people just don't understand what they've created with their LLC or the implications. This creates continued confusion and avoidance, whenever it comes to anything regarding the 'technical side'.
Most importantly, people don't understand the additional steps that you must take in order for your LLC to legitimately exist, and actually protect you in court.
